The computer is 30 per cent thinner than the
previous model, weighing just 1.3kg, and comes
fitted with an anti-glare display.
It can also resume from sleep mode instantly
thanks to a 16 GB Solid State Drive, reducing
the time people waste waiting for computers to
boot.
Acer's device debuts just days after HP unveiled
there own new Chromebook which claims to be
"one of the lightest laptops on the market".
Both computers are aimed at the budget end of
the market carrying pricetags of less than $300
(£188, #45,000), with Acer saying theis laptop is aimed at
"families and students".
