Tecno W5 Full Specs and Price

Tecno has just unveiled the Tecno W5 into the “W” series that have already seen the likes of Tecno W2, Tecno W3 and Tecno W4. Tecno W5 is the latest addition to the Tecno W lineup of Smartphones and unlike the Tecno W4 which was Tecno’s first Android 6 Marshmallow powered phone, the Tecno W5  though comes with some premium specs, the phone only wants to be recognized for having and fingerprint scanner and being a 4G LTE enabled phone.

The Tecno W5 has a 5.5 inches IPS HD display, this makes makes the Tecno W5 a good choice of smartphone for lovers of  phones with large display. The W5 features same screen resolution of 1280×720 just like its predecessor- the Tecno W4. You will always enjoy viewing clear images as well as watching HD videos with the Tecno W5.

Tecno W5 is powered by a Quadcore Mediatek processor with a clock speed of 1.3GHz and supported by an insufficient 1GB of RAM, you shouldn’t expect World class and a completely lag free experience when running your applications with the W5 especially if you are a heavy user. The Tecno W5 has 16GB internal storage space. This may not be adequate for some users, especially the heavy multimedia consumers, but not to worry, the Tecno W5 internal storage can be expanded up to 64GB using Micro SD card with a dedicated slot for the SD card.

Tecno W5 boasts a 13MP rear camera with autofocus, LED flash and 1080p video recording ability. With a meagre 5MP selfie camera on the front panel, you may not get the best Selfies and Video calls experience. The W5 uses a fingerprint scanner that is located at the back just below the rear camera and flash light, the scanner provides for more secured unlock for the device and can also be used to control app permissions as well as other purposes.

With the recent emergence of 4G LTE networks across most services providers in Nigeria, the Chinese OEM has remained resolute to churning out cheap 4G phones. The Tecno W5 is equipped with 4G LTE connectivity, making it one of the cheapest 4G phones that will be available in Nigeria.

The Tecno W5 has 3000 mAh battery. If you are not much of a heavy user, the 3000 mAh of battery juice on the Tecno W5 should comfortably take you through the day and come think that the device features a VOOC flash charge system, it wont take you forever to fully charge up the 3,000 mAh battery.
